Meet the Team

Joe Lee | President

Joe Lee, President

Joe Lee III is the second generation of Lee Air Conditioners and grew up in the HVAC industry. From a very early age he was visiting the Lee AC facility and learning to walk in his father’s footsteps. Those very large footsteps were the footsteps of Joe Lee, Jr. who started the business in 1951. Joe worked many summers at Lee whether it was in the service department, commercial and residential installations, sales, design or overall operations of the heating and air conditioning business. He has been a fixture at Lee Air for over 45 years. Joe credits his father for the business sense, values and principles he developed early on that still guide him today. Joe attended and graduated from Wingate University and North Carolina State University. He is married to Peggy and together they have two children and two grandchildren with whom they spend as much of their free time as possible.

Peggy Lee | COO

Peggy Lee, COO

Peggy is the better half of Joe Lee. After spending her early years as an elementary school teacher she then became a full time mom to daughter Whitney and son Scott. During those years she participated in volunteer work, led school wide fundraisers, was a member of her church’s school board, where she also taught Sunday school and helped start their summer vacation bible school program, as well as running several businesses from her home. After becoming an empty nester she was called into the family heating and air conditioning business and has been involved since 2010.

Scott Lee | VP

Scott Lee, Vice President

Scott is the 3rd generation to be a part of the Lee Air family; his grandfather Joe Lee, Jr. was the founder, and the current President, Joe Lee III, is his father. Scott has been a part of the heating and air conditioning company since his high school days working summers out in the field and in the warehouse. After graduating college from UNC-Wilmington, Scott came home to Lee Air Conditioners. Growing up within the company is a pivotal part of who he is and his life. He is extremely proud to be a part of the business and is focused on ensuring that it will be here for another 60 years. Scott is the proud father to two children, Tanner and Harper, and husband to his wonderful wife Gretchen.
